The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has published an Interim Deauthorization List of water resource development projects as well as separable elements of projects in the Federal Register. Projects that are eligible for deauthorization through Section 6001(c) of the Water Resources Reform and Development Act of 2014 include those authorized for construction by Congress prior to November 2007 that are uncompleted and are no longer viable due to: (1) lack of local support; (2) lack of available Federal or non-Federal resources; or, (3) an authorizing purpose that is no longer relevant or feasible.
The list of projects being considered for deauthorization is available to the public and other interests for a 90-day public comment period scheduled to end on January 5, 2016. You can download a sortable version of the Interim De-authorization List is available on the Corps Civil Works Budget and Performance webpage, or you can view it here: Interim Deauthorization List.
